Yes, use raw honey from natural stores, not the supermarket kind of honey, and let your tea cool down first before you put the honey in there, because very hot temperature will kill the vitamins in honey.
Or, try drinking your tea without any sweetners at all, at first your taste buds won't like it, but then you'll get use to it, and that's the way the tea is suppose to be drank.

Depending upon why the doctor said this, honey is a wonderful source of easily digested and processed natural sugars.

This does nothing for diabetes, but it may work well for some other medical issues with processed sugars.

refined means that it has been changed from it's natural state. Raw sugar and honey have not been altered...so that means that they are not refined.
Same goes for fruit..they are sweet but with natural sugar. If you are diabetic you still need to watch your natural sugar intake.

Sounds perfect. Otherwise you can use fruit juices such as an organic white grape juice to sweeten. Any natural form of sugar =)
