Well, confidentiality is out the window, and if it's not amenable to identity theft, it certainly is likely to get him spammed to death. On the other hand, we still seem ages away from portable electronic medical record systems, so if he has the website on a MedicAlert bracelet, it might be useful.

While it is good PR, it may offer many way for anyone to acess his identity, not to mention old college records.
