Trains from Leicester to Birmingham are operated by Central Trains, and there are no services at all on Boxing Day.

The services between Leicester and Birmingham New Street will no be running so you will have to find another means of transport.
The National Express coach will be running though, leaving Leicester's St Margaret's bus station at:
1110, arriving to Digbeth, Birmingham at 1205.
1310, arriving 1405.
1510, arriving1605.
1910, arriving2005
From Digbeth, Birmingham:
1000, arriving 1055.
1300, arriving 1355
1500, arriving 1555
1700, arriving 1755

i believe most of the national companies are closed both Christmas Day and boxing day, and i think there is a limited airport service, also check timetables alterations as well for the following days.
Don't also rely on National Rail Enquiries they not always accurate as i found out on New Years day morning when enquiring whether the 05.17 train was running and was told "definitely yes" only to discover the first train was 06.45, so i sat at the station for nothing, and other people have had misinformation from them too

I think you'll find nothing from Leicester to Brum I'm afraid. In previous years there have been trains to the various London airports, some very limited services in Kent and local trains in Scotland.
For train enquiries go to www.nationalrail.co.uk.
To find out if there is any other transport (e.g. coach) go to www.traveline.org.uk.
