I am trying to make frosting, but I can't go to the store right now. Please tell me how to make easy frosting without using any vanilla extract, etc. Thank you~

if you have powdered sugar there is a recipe for buttercream frosting on the box. This is good to frost sugar cookies Leave the vanilla out if you don't have any.

1 warm egg white
lemon juice
Confectioners' sugar
Beat the egg white and lemon juice until slightly frothy in a small grease free bowl with a fork. Gradually add confectioners sugar a heaping tablespoon at a time. Thoroughly mix and continue adding confectioners sugar until you reach the consistency you want. For extra strength you can add a teaspoon of piping gel. If this softens the consistency just add a little more confectioners sugar.

Go to www.wilton.com and get their recipe for Royal Icing. That is great for sugar cookies and dries firm. Just make sure to use metal utensils since any oil will break down the icing. You also will need meringue powder for this so I am not sure if you have this at home.
