It depends on how big of a tattoo u got and did it come exactly how u wanted it, and if u already paid 4 the tattoo then he/she doesn't need a tip

tip how you would tip a waitress.... 15-20% of cost. but also realize that they have already factored their profit into the price that they are charging you, so you don't need to go over board. i also would say to just tip them according to how much you like their work as well.... again, considering that they already factored in their profit, if they go above and beyond what you expected then give them a good tip.

My tattoo artist actually owns the shop, so he gets all of what he charges for the tattoo, I give him 20% of the cost of the tattoo.

i always tip big, because it'shard work and a big commitment they just assisted you with. i usually tip at least 20%.
