My hair is knacker through years of hair extentions (pre bonded), dye and a perm (last February). I am pregnant and want to grow my hair so all my hair can comfortabely fit into a clip when the baby comes (at the moment I need a kirby grips for the layers) It has been trimmed so I do not want it cut again til at least February. I put olive oil on my hair and sleep in deep conditioning masks.

Which is the best condition mask for hair? (regardless of price)
Which is worse for your hair washing it everyday OR washing it twice a week and drying straight using hairdryer and GHDs (with top up inbetween)

I suggest using a treatment twice a week for 3 weeks then topping up every two weeks. Im a hair stylist so I can offer you my opinion on what we do with a lot of models with knackered hair.

Use a professional treatment that does not contain silicone, (most commonly dimethicone) because it will act like polyfiller in your hair and make it hard and brittle, (many shampoos and conditioners contain this so beware) so your hair cannot bend and will break.

Its best to get a decent shampoo and conditioner, (for heavens sake not frizz ease!) and deep penetrating treatment. My recommendations are:
AVEDA damage remedy shampoo
AVEDA damage remedy conditioner
Advea Damage remedy treatment

Use a protective spray before blowdrying or straightening, again beware of silicone!

All these products can be pricy together but well worth it! Get regular tiny trims to prevent split ends from weakening the hair further.

Sorry, Im babbling about hair again! Hope this helps, have fun with the baby. Im pregnant too so I know how important feeling good is. Good luck!

stop using the straighteners, they are knackering your hair.
you should go 2 the hairdressers and have the ends of your hair cut every 4 - 6 weeks depending on how fast it grows (minimal off) as this helps it to grow (hair only grows half an inch a month!!)
with the conditioning mask, i would recommend the schwarzkopf 2 phase reconstructive conditioner, you apply 1 and leave 4 10mins then apply 2nd one and leave 4 10mins, not sure on price, you should be able 2 pick this up from a salon which sells schwarzkopf products!!
hope this helps and good luck!!

I spent various time the two discovering and checking out this. which incorporate the undeniable fact that i'm a authorized cosmetologist. No bottle that asserts "grows hair" is authentic. As published the hair develop is began from interior of and each and each individual hair on your head is transforming into at a diverse value. pills are the ideal thought yet various the costly **** will do exactly what a purchase one get one bottle of biotin will do. additionally, for the fool that asserts slicing your hair month-to-month makes no sense, do no longer stick to that. We commend such to end the chop up ends. If no longer accompanied with a familiar hair slicing time table (which in case you gain this the main which would be chopped is a a million/2 in, if that) you're chop up ends will proceed up your hair. inflicting that nasty hair which you won't be able to even call long because of the fact it basically frizzles out on the tip. That or, basically consistent breakage, which no person needs. And no, there's no different therapy to a chop up ends different than slicing them off.

Washing everyday with a clarifying shampoo is not bad for it. What IS bad for it is all of the blow drying & other stuff you put on your hair. Just stop putting everything under the sun on it & if possible, stop blow drying it. Keep the ends trimmed to keep them from splitting & drying out.

Let it go natural without all the goop. Give your hair a chance to breath & same with your scalp. All of the extra goop is most likely smothering your folicles & scalp...

using heated appliances without a heat defence product will kill your hair.
washing your hair twice a week will mean it will get really greasy and look horrible. your haed will probably get itcy 2.

use a henna conditionar they can be bought from local supermarkets for about £1.50.
leave it on your hair for 10mins longer than what it says on the tub.
i use it one a week and it makes my hair feel so soft afterwards.

you are best to let your hair grow for a while and when you do get it cut only have a trim and tell the hairdresser you want to grow your layers out.

Putting olive oil on your hair at night won't do anything unless it is wet. Try hot oil treatments, they are cheap, fast and easy. Instead of drying and straightening just 2x weekly try letting your hair dry naturally at least once a week.

I have long curly/frizzy hair and I keep it layer. I use Biologe shampoo and conditioner, air dry and then use a flat iron, works very well and keeps from damaging any further. Also, mayo works very well for deep conditioning! Just don't sleep with it!
