I do agree with Bad B. People need to marry for love. I understand the concept that it might work to reduce religious hatred. However, I think it will probably do little overall.
Loving neighbor as self means to have a relaxed, concerned, compassionate attitude toward others.

Absolutly. My modern boyfriend is Chrstian, and that i'm Wiccan, and we get alongside merely fantastic. Marriage is actual a subject matter we've pronounced on some activities, and we both experience it truly is a few thing we may opt for to flow by skill of with in the destiny. in my opinion, i do not imagine faith could count. in case you extremely love someone then you actually will locate a fashion to make it artwork. appreciate and tolerance for another's beliefs is the foremost to having a useful relationship at the same time as the different individual's faith is diverse than your own. Closed-mindedness and intolerance, in spite of the undeniable fact that, is a recipe of disaster once you throw non secular beliefs into the blend.

Encouraging kids to marry into a particular group is unlikely to achieve very much apart from raise the divorce rate. Religious people should bring up their kids to know their own religion and to be tolerant of others.

Tolerance is a major part of most world religions. Unfortunately that hasn't sunk through the skulls of all of the members. Moses came down the mountain with tablets of stone saying "Thou shalt not kill" so his people immediately went and massacred the population of Jericho. Nothing changes.

You seem to equate "loving your neighbor as yourself" with total acceptance. That's not true. The problem is that if one is serious about their faith then marrying someone of a different faith will cause problems. They will never grow in their own faith if they have to constantly watch themselves to keep themselves from believing the spouse's faith. If they have no problem throwing off one religion for another, fine. But those who are serious should stick to their own faith. "Loving your neighbor as yourself" means the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Treat people respectfully and kindly. Don't judge. That sort of thing. It doesn't mean "pretend like they do no wrong". Because, yes, certain religions believe other religions are wrong. People just need to treat others kindly despite that rather than judging.

I love and respect all my neighbors no matter what there faith. People like you are the ones that have to worry about hell. And I think you'll find religious people of different faiths marry all the time. Catholics marry Protestant, Muslims marry christian, Hindus marry Sikhs. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. My child will be free to marry whomever she chooses, not that its any of your business.

No, because a relationship between people with incompatible life views cannot succeed without compromise. And a person forced to compromise something so important to their lives as their faith sacrifices too much.

People should marry the people they love.

Abolishing religious conflict is a completely separate issue.

If you can't see that maybe you should concern yourself with your own reasoning abilities and leave religious people alone.

I am an atheist. But I am sane. The whole point of being religious is to propagate the faith, not end it.

Well given the divorce rate for interfaith marriages, it would probably only encourage it.
