Have everyone arrive in costume. You and your husband should either dress up as things that go together (ex. mustard and ketchup) or you could wear a tuxedo and he could wear a wedding dress.
As far as the decorations go, I wouldn't do anything too amazing. Just like, have Happy Halloween signs all around, and orange and black streamers and balloons, and the cake, make it with orange frosting and black icing (with bats painted on it).
Hope that helped ;)

hmm, I really don't mean to put a damper on your idea, Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday of all times, but for your wedding? These overly "themed" weddings kind of leave a bad taste in my mouth. It should be a meaningful, elegant and memorable affair. Do you really want your wedding pictures with kids in plastic teeth and grown men in baby New Year diapers?? You don't want a wedding that turns into a characiture. Since you love Halloween, how about a wedding with a fall atmosphere? The decor will be cheap (all of nature is usually in it's splendor around Halloween!) uncarved pumpkins, fall flowers at table setting, "comfort" type foods if you are doing the food yourself can be done very inexpensively. Above all it would be beautiful, your pictures would have spectacular colors in the background, and people will probably appreciate your wedding meal as very filling and so much more satisfying than tiny canapes and junky hors devours that most people serve. If you must MUST have a Halloween theme, check out Martha Stewarts October issues, she has some creepy and elegant ideas for decor and food with a spooky twist.

I had gotten married on Halloween 1997
the ceremony had taken place in the woods of a state park
our wedding cake was chocolate with cherry with a thicken cherry juice running down the sides and all over the top looking like blood we were dressed like newlydeads we had served candy, cookies, and other things to do with Halloween
And everything was a little over $100.00
Unfortunately the marriage ended in divorce alittle over a year later

Hi!
My husband and I have gotten married TWICE on Halloween.
THe first time in 2000 it was a handfasting ceremony.
Then in 2005, we made legal, as we had our civil wedding on Halloween.
No halloween decoration for us, just the normal stuff. We didn't pick the date the first time for being Halloween, but because that's when I had some time off and we could have a little honeymoon.
Now, if you want decoration ideas and stuff, go to www.theknot.com and check out the fall weddings in the forum and you'll get great ideas.
Have a great day.

i have seen some nice Halloween weddings you can theme it to its a strictly dress up but no one can dress like the bride of Frankenstein or Frankenstein( that's is who you would be) also down the isle put a little dry ice with watter to make smoke to make it a little spookier center pieces you could do pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns or even candy bowls an little bags on each table an the bags an candy can be there party favors. theme your cake to Halloween
http://www.myrajeanscakes.com/holiday_&_special_ocassion_cakes.htm has some ok ideas also try individual dirt cups you can make them at home with the kids an save a lot of money if you need to know how to do this you can message me. also at orientaltrading.com you can find other wedding things an halloween dodads an have fun its halloween an its your wedding

Hello Dear.....
My late wife and I did...
Big party tent in the yard. Small pumpkins carved as jack-o-lanterns were the table centerpieces/lights (candles inside)...
Large pumpkins cut in half and hollowed out with floating candles and live goldfish swimming in them. (the guests took the goldfish home as favours).....
Wedding cake was decorated for halloween, with lots of spiders, bats, and sugar webs.
Traditional halloween decorations inside the party tent. Guests were instructed to come in costume, if they wished. Most did.
We did most of the cooking ourselves, in the few days before the reception, and had family members lay it out in buffet style.
The kids in the family all helped with the pumpkins.
It was a lot of fun, really.
Oh, I forgot...for entertainment, instead of a band, or a DJ, we had a palm-reader, and he made sure he had time to "read" everyone.
We also had fire-jugglers after dark...
If the whole marriage had been as fun as the Reception, well...that is another tale....
Namaste,
--Tom

I performed the first WEBN Haunted House wedding this year. We had a room decorated with a spidery webbed arch.
I don't know if they put the picture on the site but that house's address is
http://www.frightsite.com
If you want you can send me your email address & I'll send you a couple pics.
