These are the BEST. I can't remember exactly where I got it but I'm pretty sure it was from one of the peanut butter companies. I've been making them for 35 years and they're always a hit...

Peanut Butter Cookies

1 cup softened butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 cup peanut butter (I use Jif - it's sweeter than the others)
2 cups sifted flour
2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
Optional: chocolate chips, nuts, etc.

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in peanut butter. Add dry ingredients a little at a time. Roll into balls and press onto ungreased cookie sheets with a floured fork in both directions, making a criss-cross design with the fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes 4 dozen fairly large cookies.

Enjoy!

My most requested cookie recipe. I am unsure of the yield, but should be approx. 2 dozen. They are usually eaten from the cookie sheet before they are cooled.

1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup softened butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 (12 ounce) bag chocolate chips

1. Mix dry ingredients and set aside.
2. Mix butter and peanut butter.
3. Add both sugars, cream well.
4. Add eggs and mix well.
5. Add flour mixture, mix well.
6. Fold in chocolate morsels.
7. Drop dough from rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheet.
8. Bake in pre-heated 375ºF oven for 10-13 minutes.
9. Allow to cool on cookie sheet 2 minutes.
