No apparently not because every year there are a lot of people who order their fruit cakes from the world famous Collin Street Bakery in Corsciana Texas..They are the best!!!

Today I can buy Claxton fruit cake at Wal Mart in Arkansas. When I was a young girl in Georgia we bought that fruitcake from that bakery every christmas. I buy it as part of my comfort food.
Fifty years of eating that fruitcake and still loving it!!

i dont like fruit cake...
my mum makes 1 around xmas time and i actually like a really small slice of it but i would prefer something like cheesecake,lol

My mom makes the best fruitcake!! It has chopped nuts in it and has been wrapped in cheesecloth drenched in blackberry wine since october. It's the BEST!!! mmm...

Hmm, nope.
I have to say I love it to. I miss my grandfather making it. WOW, he really knew how to smother it with booze! That is one special treat... and every year since he's passed. I've haven't found anything close to what he used to make!
