You'd think, you'd think the sun would rise,
You'd fall asleep and shut your eyes.
The moon would fall. -Fall, fall,
As the sun would stand for all, all.

You'd think in the morning you'd wake up.
Your mom to make your food.
You'd take it all for granted,
Until your life subdued.

Moms not in the kitchen,
It's still too dark outside.
A bloody knife is on the floor,
You slowly shut your eyes.

Is mommy in the bathroom?
Is she lying on the floor?
A pool of blood beside her,
She couldn't take it anymore.

You know she's dead already,
As you run to get the phone,
As you dial just 3 numbers,
You run away from home.

You're sitting on the sidewalk,
As the screaming engines roar.
Now Mommy's in the hospital,
On the very lowest floor.

When she asked where Mommy was,
The nurse, she only shrugged.
Nurse told her she was sleeping,
And would not be waking up.

Next time you go to sleep, sleep,
Don't let your mommy weep, weep,
Tell her it will be alright,
And that she'll make it through the night.

It's really weird because I'm 13 and I'm really happy. I've written over 50 depressing poems, most of which are fictional. Yeah, it's kinda weird, lol

Wow... you got talent!!!!!

I totally understand you, I write songs, the thing u have is that whenever u feel down for some reason, u get inspired and start writting. Depression is a very good incentive to write. while happiness is just kind of normal, unless ur inlove..

what u just said happens to me too. But I've written some happy things too...

that was depressing. y dont u write a happy poem like:

A CHILD'S EYES
i feel the roughness of a fence,
and the grass between my toes,
I feel the wind against me
and the pollen in my nose.

I see the mocking bird,
singing horribly,
as i looked into the pool,
I even could see me

You may not see or hear it,
if not, this is why.
You didnt stop to listen
you just ran on by

So just stop and listen,
before the moment dies,
but sometimes to see it,
Look through a child's eyes.

im only 11 and i wrote this inlike 5 seconds!

i previously commented on this..i don't think it's odd that you're young or that you write poems of depressing situations..so many of the great poets started out writing more dark than light verse ..poets connect on emotional levels about universal topics but it doesn't mean that they have personally experienced everything they write about..just keep writing :o)
