i watch ther dukes of hazzard every night ive been to georgia but have never seen hazzard county on the map so i was wondering what the real name is

The county, town, and people in the TV show are movie are fictional. The original tv series from the 80s had a few early episodes shot around Covington, Ga which is in Newton County. Also, In the Heat of the Night with Carroll O'Connor was shot entirely in the same city and county.

I live in Georgia, never heard of a county named Hazzard, I think it is fictional.

Mike is right. Indeed, many of the "town square" shots were done from my uncle's office in downtown Covington.
