"Life's not fair"

Well if your life sucks you have the power to change it don't you? And for those "bad" people who seem to get everything they want, this life is short and the afterlife is eternal. Why not enjoy what you do have in life and stop looking to others to compare. I'm sure your life seems pretty good to alot of people. There is always someone worse of than you. Why not try giving to those less fortunate than you. Not necessarily money, but your time, your attention, your helping hand and maybe just maybe you'll see that the really rich people in this world are the ones who give. What goes around comes around after all.

Maybe God knows that what we are praying for is not really the best for us?
There is a verse in Psalm 145 which reads: "The will of His fearers shall He do, and He will hear their cry and save them"
This can be understood to mean that after doing what we have asked and prayed for, God then hears our cries and saves us from the very things that we prayed for ourselves!
For those bad people who get everything they want, they may be getting all their rewards in the material world and their punishment remains for the spiritual world where suffering is far greater.

Things happen. Coincidences, consequences, accidents, genetics, kind people, nasty people, selfish people. Most of us tend to make up narratives that draw all of these separate events together in a coherent whole. It's easier to think of it that way.

Prayer is a way of trying to affect some control over these events. That we can influence others and the cosmic balance through our thoughts and words.

Maybe it doesn't work that way.

There's no reason to expect life to be fair, although humans, if they put their minds to it could make human institutions and structures MUCH fairer.

But that's currently not the case.

Rather than praying to someone who isn't there, put your energies toward making this world more just.

Oh honey, hang on. That isn't how it turns out, honestly I know and I'm experienced.
It has seemed sometimes to me like why struggle anymore? But I really like being alive so the struggle continued. I cannot tell you how incredible the rewards have been. Life is wonderful! Thanks be to God!

Life sucks because you see some parts of God as being bad people.

How likely is it that some part of God is unacceptable.

Love and blessings don

I think when we try to do the things that please God then he blesses us in countless ways. And I am not talking about doing good works to rack up brownie points. God knows us. He knows what is in our hearts. When our intentions are good he rewards us. When we think someone is "bad" or think they get what they want, that is a human perception that could easily be wrong. Take your focus off others and focus on God. You will see the difference in your life.

Because while people take their time to pray, others (like myself) actually WORK towards getting things they want and deserve.

Not meaning it offensively, but maybe you should just try to work towards making your life great instead of relying on something that may or may not exist.

It is the only reward they will ever have. Luke 6:20-31, Revelation 22. Eat, drink and be Merry for tomorrow they die!

'Cause God really doesn't love everyone. He picks favorites.
