Why is it that religious people dont realize that if they come up to me and try to convert me, next thing thats gonna happen is that they're gonna be on the floor?

Indeed, proselytizing Christians are lucky that most people are decent law-abiding citizens. Maybe it is time to view their approaches as the criminal assaults they are and respond with appropriate force. After all, they do worship a hateful and violent God, and their mission is to spread ignorance and misery to all of mankind. They should be viewed and treated as the terrorists that they are.

I don't think they deserve to be hit unless they have been told many many many times that I am not interested. If I walk away and they try to stop me then I will get rude with them (since I've already told them at least thrice that I am not interested in varying degrees of courtesy). After that if they continue to try to hold me there I WILL defend myself.

Why the violence? Why not help them see the error in their ways. Why must you deck those that come upon your halls?
They do not understand that if religion is true, then they are following a Jealous and Vengeful deity. Traits that contradict the definition of a "god".
