At your age, something small and cute is cool. Please don't ever put a guys name on your body. Not even your husband's later on. As you get older you can always add on. Make sure its something meaningful. But you already know that, right?!

I was 16 when I found the design I wanted for my first tattoo. I was 18 when I got that tattoo. I am glad I waited. I wanted to be sure that it was going to be something I wanted for a long time.
Most places require you to be 18 years old or have your parents permission before getting ink. If they are going to do it on you anyway, I wouldn't get it done there-if they are going to bend the rules on age, what other rules are they bending?
The design sounds cute, the placement is pretty cute (there is a possibility of stretching in that area though), but please, just be sure it is what you want. Waiting a few more months or even a year, if not going to kill you, if it is something you really want.

I got my first tattoo when i was 15. It sounds a lot like the one you want. mine is a blue flower with black tribal curving around the back of it on my lower back. I got mine because it has a lot of meaning behind it and I absolutely love it. Just make sure you want it enough! Other wise i say 'go for it'... I would love to get a tattoo for christmas this year.. im getting ready to get my third one soon!

i think tribal anything is an awful idea. THAT is a fad, and not even a current fad. it was very popular in 1995. unless you are from a heritage that has tribal tattoos as a part of the culture. get something else. i got a tattoo for christmas last night and i love it. it hurt and took forever (three and a half hours) but i love love love it!

I think it sounds like a nice tat. BUT in the US you have to be 18 to get it legally. UNLESS you have your parents with you. They can give permission for you to get it done under 18. DON'T go to a basement type set up. GO to a reputable tat parlor. You don't want to get hep. That's with you for life as the tat is. BUT Hep can affect health-wise. HEP survivor here. And YES I got it from a dirty needle getting a tat.

if i were u i would wait a while before i do something thats perment. because if u do get it its there forever. u can never take it off. so if u grow up and u dont want the tattoo then ur stuck with it. wait a while and see if u change ur mind. thats my advice. good luck!

Your first mistake was saying your "pretty sure" that you want that tattoo. Also it isn't up to other people to tell you if they would like it. That is your own decision. I would suggest waiting until you "know for sure" of what you want.

I decided on a tatoo I liked for my first. When I didn't change my mind for a year about the design, then I knew it was the one I wanted.
