Traditionally it was the male's role to approach the woman. But it is obivious that females are very much interested in guys, but why are they so afraid of letting their feelings be known?

How hard is it to approach someone and let them know how you feel? How are the fears different between a man a woman?

some women are afraid..same with men..i don't think it's gender specific..the fears are the same..i have been told yes and no but i didn't take it personally when they said no because not everyone will be attracted to you even if you may be to them..it's wasn't easy the first time but it gets easier all the time..like everything else..practice, practice, practice

Females have a thing in them that's afraid of rejection especially from a guy. It's hard for one to approach someone. A man would take a chance because they think, "if i don't, i'll never know." even if they are rejected they think, "oh well." but for someone really different, like the girl is someone special they would take longer. A woman would be shy because she is scared of taking chances. You rarely hear of the girl approaching the guy because they are all scared and want to analyze every move of the guy, so they are sure that he likes her.

But some girls are go-getters and some guys are shy.

Hello not all girls are scared to approach a guy, it just depends on the woman. It's the same with men not all guys have the confidence to approach a woman if the like them, because of the fear of rejection. It just depends on the person and the confidence they have. I'm not afraid to chat to guys

I've had white guys approach me before. Some of them may be intimidated simply because of the stereotypes or they don't want to get rejected. BQ: Well I'm a black girl lol, but from a male perspective, I can tell you that it's going to depend on the guy and what he's attracted to. I've had a white guy take an interest in me who said he had never been interested in a black girl before until he saw me. He said he liked my big, coily, spiral curl like hair (thanks to no relaxer) and that it made me seem interesting/he wanted to feel it

Well, at least I don't because it is better if the guy does it. I'm afraid of not only being rejected but because I always think "he's too cute, he has to have a gf", so I don't even bother to, lol.

More and more females are going up to guys and asking them out, unless the female is shy then she will wait for the guy to approach her.

Women like to have a lot of dreams and don't want to get their feelings hurt and some of them are probably afriad of being used or making a fool of themselves for thinking that someone liked them when they didn't.

I don't know but I find it hard to approach a man and ask him out...it's just thinking I might be rejected or that he only wants a friend or a "friends with benifits"

Believe me, not all women are afraid. Only the one's who are either too shy, have a low image of themselves, or too old fashioned.
