did you actually read that artcle? the deaths were mostly natural, but the spike was not unusual considering the invasion, women not wanting or able to go to hospital to deliver, and the actual death count attributable to violence was considerably less. Some of those deaths were natural and for the most part, the 100,000 figure was taken from 33 communities, and ALL causes were included. It's a statistical number and the headline was inflammatory. ARe you stupid or something?

Believe it or not Christians are being killed on a daily basis and persecuted in most parts of the world. America hasn't gone there yet, but does beat up on believers, in courts and in their homes if they display religious things for Christmas or Easter.
The Phillipine Christians were beheaded for going to a christian school about two years ago, right before the Tsunami, Africa they are killed perpetually and made slaves. South America reports nuns and priests being murdered.
It is sad that the regular news acts as if it is not happening or they somehow deserve it because of their beliefs...Is this the Roman Empire Revisited?

Because these are foreigners; and on top of that, they're the wrong religion and the wrong skin color; you can't expect the american public to care about them.
We need a war - on terror, on drugs - to rally the public, pass horrific, privacy-shattering laws, and divert attention from the real problems,
And if we need to kill a few thousand americans to do it, it's an acceptable price - the number of soldiers who died in this war is more than the number of americans who died on september 11th.

Many Christians care far more about the lives of unborn children than those of children in Africa or other war-torn areas. Really, very pathetic and irrational.

Good day, LJ. Personally, I think it's despicable that it's ignored as much as it is. Sad and despicable. I guess ignoring it must be the Christian thing to do. You know it being a holy war and all.

Yes I know, plus we get chided when we talk about the deaths of the unborn in this country. We can't win in everybody's eyes.
