I don't have any suggestions, as such. But a lot of singers will talk of growing up in small towns, so I don't think it's impossible at all.
You'll want to market yourselves and find gigs that you can play fairly regularly. Hmm- Perhaps talk with a local radio station or two. I don't know that it will help, but it certainly can't hurt. And it just might get you noticed.
In this age of the Internet, Blogging is another thing you can do, about your group and your music. I'm tempted to add put in snippets of your music, but there are some unscrupulous sorts who might try to steal it before you actually record it.
Good luck!

While yes it is very unlikely for you to actually make it not just because you are from a small town but because you have to not just be good but be AMAZING and LUCKY to make it, you should dream. It is good to dream. My suggestion is to look into music production, maybe studdy that in college becasue then you ahve one foot in the door as far as becoming a musician, and if it doesn't work out, you have a good backup job. If it is meant to be... it will.

You really should get voice lessons. There are teachers all over, even in small towns! I recommend this non-profit website:

I don't think it's far-fetched, but at some point you will probably need to move to a large city, preferably LA or New York.

Find a talent agent/scout. Take it from there. Or make an audition for one of these new TV shows where they have them for singers.
