Use energy saving light bulbs instead of normal light bulbs, dont ask your parents to drive you somewhere ask your parents to walk you to that place (unless it's too far to walk, never walk alone) this will save gasoline.

"The damage to the ozone is already done and can not be reversed."
The major problem with global warming has to do with an excess of greenhouse gasses. The hole in the ozone layer is an entirely different problem, caused by CFCs. However, since many CFCs have been banned, the hole in the ozone has been shrinking, so that trend has been reversed.

To stop global warming? When you're 9?
Things you could contribute are making sure you turn off lights and TVs and computers when you leave the room. Have your parrents help you plant a garden if you have a yard and grow some vegitables to eat. Eat less fast food if you go out alot.
But most of all keep studying hard in school, and learn as much as you can, because when the rest of us are old, its going to be up to you and your friends to come up with new ideas on how to make this a better world.

The ONLY way global warming can be stopped is:

1. Humans must STOP using combustion to create energy.

2. Figure out a way to remove trillions of tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Most importantly, you must face this truth yourself: Unless very drastic world-wide changes are made now, by the time you are old enough to have children, you will be more concerned about finding food than anything else in youir life.

Even little ways can be helpful. Just last year in my area, some Boy Scouts recycled $50,000 worth of aluminum and donated the money to the local Habitat for Humanity, which then used the money to build a house for a Hurricane Katrina family. That sort of thing helps both the environment and the community. It doesn't have to be a big project like that, just set up some recycling bins and get in the habit of putting your recyclables in it.

Don't let all this Global Warming stuff worry you. A lot of people say that we humans are the problem but the truth is that before humans started using fossil fuels and ozone damaging chemicals, the earth still warmed and cooled. It's something that is natural to our earth. Do your part to be good to the earth and don't worry about the rest. It will all work out.

Maybe a sunshield for the earth. Put it in orbit to block some of the excess light. Maybe they can convert it into electricity for everyone!
