Jesus may have lived and died but he was not son of god and there is no god. Well that is my opinion. There is a lot of proof that julius ceaser existed what are you talking about have you even taken a history course don't say things unless you know what your talking about.

The bible is fully of myths I would not trust that book if my life depended on it. I may admit that there could be a form of higher power but not in anyway we currently think of it. If there is a higher power I do not see there being a after life , hell or heaven and I do not think that this super power judges people. Well overall I do not believe in any form of higher power.

There is actually NO proof written or historical that Jesus ever existed ,however there IS documented proof from many sources that there WAS a Roman General called Gaius Julius Caesar.
Don`t try using the "proof" of the Bible as your argument - this was written many many years after Jesus was supposed to have lived.
Why should I NOT "believe in julius ceaser" ?He`s a documented historical figure whereas Jesus is a character in a long established hoax.

Actually, there is more historical evidence for Caesar than Christ. Sorry.... the problem is that some of the documents supporting Christ have evidence of having been doctored after they were origionally written. Even Josephus has been called to question.

If you are counting the Bible as "evidence" that can be questioned as well. The problem is this: establishing that a person historically lived is one thing. Proving that he was a GOD is another. People believe Caesar existed because of the historical record. Countries had a tendency of knowing who ruled them; not to mention the small fact that we still remember simply because we have a MONTH named after him.

I've no doubt that Jesus EXISTED; but the question of whether he was a GOD is a much different issue.

The arguments given that he had to be a lunatic or a God are irrelevant because they are predicated on the veracity of an ancient document which was written to convince people that he WAS a GOD. That's like taking the testimony of one accused as fact. The point is that the only evidence that Christ was a GOD is in the Bible. The documentation of his rising from the dead, that he performed miracles, that he was born of a virgin, these things do not exist outside the Bible.

Proof that he existed? Yup, but certainly no more than that of Caesar. Proof that he was God? Nothing from those not trying to prove it for their own purposes.

Well, yes. There IS documentation that Julius Caesar existed including the content of several hundred letters written by Cicero. That and the fact that Rome did indeed go from being a Republic to an Empire. The reason why there's more out there about Jesus is that people are trying convince others to believe in him for religious reasons, while Julius Caesar is a historical figure without a religious following. Most people don't deny Jesus' existence, they deny his divinity. That's a fairly important distintion from a historical standpoint.

Oooh, you are so convincing, can I come to your church????

You seem unhinged. Julius Caesar was supreme consul and high priest of the Roman World, the last clear leader of Rome before the Civil Wars which finally brought about the end of the republic, and the start of the Empire, under Octavian (Augustus). His life is documented by numerous histories, and some of his campaigns, such as the conquest of Gaul (France) are described by Caesar himself! Documentary evidence for Jesus is extremely rare. The "best" evidence is from the gospels and new testament, which are a tad limited in terms of credibility.

You're an idiot who should've paid more attention in history lessons.

There is no doubt whatsoever about Julius Caesar's existence. In fact we know an awful lot about his life and work.

There is some evidence of the existence of Jesus although it's rather conflicting.
However there is no evidence whatsoever to support him being a 'son of god' - quite the contrary. And there is no evidence whatsoever of the existence of any gods.

There is no evidence to suggest Julius Caesar was a god either, but I've never heard anyone claim he was.

sorry mate, you kinda didn't convince me with that one. the whole world has been changed by julius caeser, yes yes i know jesus too, but seriously man, you're saying there's proof that jesus lived but not showing any - ever heard of Rome? there's solid, concrete proof caesar lived! all jesus has is a book supposedly written as a true account of eyewitnesses. there are so many faults in the bible, it'd take too long to point them out. and if he did exist - why isn't he here anymore? god knows the world needs him now more than ever.......and where is he? and dont say "where's caesar then" coz caeser was a human, he died, and regular ppl dont come back from the dead!!!!!!!!!
merry christmas

roflmao....

So, does that make Julius Ceasar a divine being then?

Honestly, think about that a little. You are trying to say that because history says someone existed that they must then be a divine being.

Well, I suppose that makes Napoleon, Queen Elizabeth the first, and Mary Queen of Scots divine beings as well. A son and daughters of god? Plenty of stories have been told about them. Heck, the church even ordaned the Queens by god so that must make them divine beings right?

There's no evidence of Jesus other than the bible and some vague references to his name that could belong to absolutely anyone named Jesus. You know, I was talking to a guy on the phone the other day who's name was Jesus. Does that make him a divine being?

Rome was founded on Ceasar. And Rome has affected everything in the world that came after. You bet there's lots of proof that Ceasar existed.

Honestly, I wish people would think before they post.

I think you're desperate to prove your bible right so you're grasping at straws.

Yes, Julius Ceasar was a real person, he was the Roman Emperor about 2000 years ago, you can't have done much in depth research on this at all. Asking this question would be like someone 2000 years from now asking if you believed in Tony Blair.

Huh, even if there was evidence of the birth of Jesus, which there is not, there is absolutely non that he died besides a religious text. All stories of Jesus published are Heresay (By people who were born after the supposed death of Jesus). Julius Ceasor, of course, does have records by philosphers and authors of his time. I think you are confusing what is 'historical evidence.' It is something you learn fairly early in post-secondary education.
