no.....no reason

No, because the people that are running around screaming "the sky is falling " have alterior motives. 30 years ago scientists were trying to figure out how to melt parts of the poles to warm the Earth because of "global cooling". We only have 100-115 years of GOOD weather data to refer to, as it is. No one really can determine if this is just a "cycle" the Earth goes through. As far as humans being the cause, Mt. St. Helens, Crakatoa, and the Santorini volcanic eruptions put out more pollution than humans have the entire time we've been walking upright. Granted, we need to take care of the Earth, but after all the volcanic eruptions, asteroid hits, and shifting of faultlines throughout history, the Earth has always managed to repair the damage.

Of course it worries me! The people here that say it is based on 'junk science', are you scientists? What exactly are you basing this ridiculous comment on? Climatologists reporting for the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) say we are seeing global warming caused by human activities. Yes natural cycles cause the earth's climate to change, but the view of the majority of experts in the field is that current changes are occurring too fast to be accounted for by only natural phenomena. These are leading scientists in their field, and their commens follow years of intensive research. And you expertise on the subject is what exactly?? People believe all sorts of rubbish that they read in the paper, and yet many refuse to believe this - why?? People just don't like to admit that there might be a problem because of the sacrifices they would have to make in an attempt to deal with it. The people that will suffer the most as a result of climate change are those living in countries such as Bangladesh where much of the land is flat and so little above sea level. Floods will cause so much danger to so many of these people, so much suffering, how can anyone not be worried about it?? Refusing to admit there is a problem and refusing to attempt to deal with it is incredibly ignorant and selfish.

No, it doesn't worry me because I am old and I and my immediate descendants (children, grandchildren etc.) will be long dead before all the dire warnings come to pass - if they ever do. In the Bible there is the story of the great flood which was probably caused by global warming, so it is a cyclical thing and there is nothing puny man can do to stop it.

No.
Because:
1. The International Panels on Climate Change (IPCC), who are a collection of Global Warming alarmists, admit that they BELIEVE man is a large factor in Global Warming but that they CAN'T DETERMINE to what extent. If they can't determine to what extent, can they determine there is any extent at all? I don't think so.

2. The scientists with the most experience are often the ones who are Global Warming skeptics and are often ignored by the "sky is falling" crowd. "Many of my older meteorological colleagues are very skeptical of these anthropogenic global warming scenarios. But we are seldom asked for any input. Despite my 50 years of meteorology experience and my many years of involvement in seasonal hurricane and climate prediction, I have never been asked for input on any of the International Panels on Climate Change (IPCC) reports. They know my views and do not wish to have to deal with them. Many other experienced but skeptical meteorologists and climatologists are also ignored. I find that the summary page conclusions of the IPCC reports frequently do not agree with the extensive factual material contained within them. In fact, the summary conclusions of many of the IPCC reports give the impression they were written before the research is done." (Dr Willam Gray - http://epw.senate.gov/hearing_statements.cfm?id=246768)

2. Paleo-Geology indicates this is a naturally occurring and cyclic phenomenon.

3. Researchers with grant money are often under scrutiny to project the beliefs of their benefactors and risk the rejection of future grant proposals if they run contrary to the wishes of the organizations supporting their work.

not really
by geological estimates, we shold be entering an ice age soon, or should already be in one. However, because of global warming, we've been able to stave off this natural cycle. Global warming isn't junk science, if you consider it junk science, then statistics, economics, stock markets are all junk science. there is a correlation, although because there is no way to conduct an experiment(given we don't have a planet with earth's ecosystem to screw around with) there is no definitie proof. also, by the time it hits, i'll be dead. too bad for my kids

Nah. This planet has gone through lots of hot and cold cycles. 'Global warming' is just junk science. The sun has much more effect on the earth's temp than we can ever have.

HOWEVER. That is no excuse for polluting the planet and wasting fossil fuels as we have for the past century. We need to take care of this planet. It's the only one we've got.

Yes. Even if it is based on "junk science" and happens naturally anyway, humankind weren't around at the last dramatic change. It worries me. I don't think lowering carbon emissions would any harm to attempt to combat it, but I think we've also got to adapt. I live in the East of England on the coast, which is an at risk area if the sea levels rise. There are other places - Bangladesh, a lot of the South Sea Islands.

My name is Rafael Lomena. I write from Alicante (Spain). I am independent investigator on the Accelerated Global Heating and want to share with all something that can turn out from interest to fight this phenomenon.
I believe that the main cause of the Accelerated Global Heating is in the great and increasing forest fires that are whipping to the planet in the last years.
My complete report is in: http://inicia.es/de/rlv/clim.htm
If they do not understand the Spanish they can use the automatic translator that will find in the main page of site:

Thanks to all.

If global warming doesn't worry you, it is simply because you have not read up on it. We are headed for a very hard future.

There are dozens of books on the subject anyone can check out at the public library.

No it dose not worry me because ,the earth is known to have warmed and cooled countless times over millions of years .
So why are we all so worried about something that cannot be stopped .
People should just get on with living and not dwell on the subject
