You could have PMDD, which is a more severe kind of PMS, and you do not only get emotional on your period. Your body's hormones are reacting throughout the month. As i got older and after several births, my body has substantially change chemically, and things have gotten less predictable emotionally for me. I start having "symptoms" two weeks in advance, and it escalates until I get my period.
Go to a female OB-GYN about this.

Has your diet changed? Are you taking in a bit of christmas cheer with a few drinks and unhealthy food?

If your not getting enough omega 3,6,9 and vitamin b's you may be emotionally unbalanced temporarily. Take some supplements and see if you notice a difference in a week.

Also, look for hormonal changes such as pre-mentstral tension that you may never have noticed before. Mark your "down" days on a calender and see if there's a pattern leading up to your period.
Boredom with life can also lead to feeling blue - being stuck in a routine with no fresh "sparks" happening. A holiday to somewhere different will give you a fresh outlook.
Also, lack of excercise won't help either. Make sure you keep the blood pumping around the body for the feel-good endorphines.

It's sounds like your hormones are playing up. Take some time out, exercise and u'll be good as new soon. If u feel urself getting angry just walk away. Also evening primrose capsules have worked wonders for me. Good luck!

I think you just have to sit back, and think or feel within yourself for the answer you seek, because in truth you of all people should know yourself better than anyone can ever really know. Question if there are even basic needs that arn't being met. Your question is too vague I'm sorry but that's the best advise I can give.

Its difficult to decide what makes us upset or emotional, think about few things, change of diet, time of the month, taking the contrciptive pill, taking any other medicines that could cause change of mood, change in a realtionship etc, anything could effect our mood so look around you, maybe you will find the answer. its good sometimes to know that your feeling differently, hopfully it will help you to come out of it.

it sounds like your hormones are beginning to kick in, so be prepared as it sounds like you're about to start having periods soon. Tell your Mum, or an older female relative or friend how you're feeling
