My biggest side effect was losing 198 lbs in 11 months on the low carb Kimkins diet.

Yeah, there's the breathe factor, but that's a small price to pay. When ketosis hits and you get the surge of energy -- not to mention losing your appetite -- it's a jackpot!

I did the Cabbage Soup Diet for 1 week and I lost 8 pounds, but it wasn't easy. By the third day I felt weak, tired, and dizzy. I had to work everyday that I was doing the diet and my co-workers were constantly asking me if I was okay or needed to go home because they could tell. It was robbing my body of all the proper nutrition that it needs. It was just a quick fix though. I won't do that diet again needless to say.

The most common side effect is bad breath. This is caused by the body expelling ketones via the breath instead of the urine. Its caused by not drinking enough water. Increase your water intake to 8 to 10 glasses per day and it will correct itself.
