I've searched the web for cheese fondue's recipes and i can't find them without using wine or any other alcohol. I'm a muslim so alcohol is against my religion.

So, is it possible?

And could you do me a favour to tell me what the recipe is,if it's possible?

12 ounces Gouda, rind removed and shredded
3/4 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Dippers:
Bread cubes
Boiled baby potatoes
Diced apples
Diced pears

Combine cheeses, milk and cornstarch in a bowl and refrigerate, for 2 hours.

When ready to make the fondue: Set up a fondue pot, double boiler, or place a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Melt the butter in the pan or bowl. Then add the cheese mixture and heat gently, stirring until the cheese has melted and the mixture is thick enough to coat the back of spoon. Take care to regulate the heat to make sure the water doesn't boil, as overheating the cheese will cause it to curdle. Add the apple brandy just before serving. Keep warm and serve with the selection of dippers.

***I can't remember the brand of cheese, but it has a red rind. Hope this helps. I think any brand wil be ok. I've also tried this with Kraft Swiss cheese.

Did you know that when you use alcohol for cooking the alcohol actually burns off? you can use cooking wines they are actually different then regular wines. I've never made fondue, but have used cooking wines before and my kids even ate, they didn't get drunk.

the alcohol boils away anyway

try cider or grape juice

the cider should be very fresh or you might have some religious problems with it
