Israel is an awesome country to visit and live in!
It is filled with many fantastic attractions from the caves of Rosh Ha' Nikra to the shores of the Red sea!
I have been to:
1. Tiberias - big hotel city filled with lots of Christian churches
2. Haifa - a fantastic city on the Carmel which is populated with all 3 religions
3. Deliat Al Carmel - The city for the droozim, big market with nice stuff for the 3 religions
4. Ha ' Bonim - nice town filled with a rugedy shore.
5. Rosh Ha' Nikra - an old city which has the caves of water!
6. Zichron Ya' akov - just a small town on the Carmel
7. Hadera - huge pollution because of the pipes of electicity
8. Herzeliyya (pituach) - Nice rich city where new people come to live. Nice Marina and enormous Mall which has two amusement parks.
9. Tel Aviv and area - fantastic enormous city with many malls, attractions, restaurants...
10. Jerusalem - Nice city with many places to go. Lots of religious people! This city has the most populated in the country : 800,000 residents!
So come & see!

Arabian Princess--
I am soooo sorry. I have lots of friends in the West Bank, PALESTINE. I am sooo sorry. I hope your brother is ok. Also I agree with the first three. I lived in Palestine for a year a while ago and I loved it. I went to a Palestinian school Mar Yusif (Saint Joseph) and learned Arabic. It was an incredible experience. I visited all over. I hated visiting around Israel because I found so many Israelis to be evil--yeah, just what Arabian Princess said, they treat everyone like... yeah. And no way am I ****! Thank you very much. I encourage you to visit Palestinian areas if you go there. There is so much the US media keeps silent from the American citizens. The truth is covered by the media but if you go around with BOTH the Israelis AND Palestinians you can see the truth, how Israelis slaughter innocents and shoot at kids and surround homes with walls.... The Palestinians were so kind to me there, I loved them. They were like a big family to me. The Palestinian people are so warm and friendly and they love feeding guests and helping everyone, and most of them really want the best for the future of the world. Keep an open mind.

Yes--I went in 2003 and it the trip was an awesome experience.
Forget what you see on the news as none of them give the real picture of Israel.
We rented a car and traveled the entire length of Israel except for Eilat.
The ancient sites--the old mixed with the new---from desert to tropical--Israel has it all.
Swim with the dolphins--hiking--nightlife--great food---great people--museums--festivals. You name it and Israel has it.
Of course--no trip is complete without a visit to the old city and the Wall and temple mount.
History surrounds you and one can not visit without coming away changed for the better.

I spent nearly 4 months in Jerusalem several years ago--had an amazing experience getting to know both Israelis and Palestinians.
There are many beautiful places to see and experience from north to south. One of my favorite places is Elat, on the southern tip. Then there's the dead sea and Masada and the Maktesh Ramon.
Jerusalem is a great city with lots to see in both old and new sections.
and then there's the north--lots of archaeological stuff--roman ruins at beth shan, Cesarea, etc, etc. the beaches on the Mediterranean are nice, too.
I was able to spend some time in the West Bank & Gaza when I was there, too--definitely interesting and gave me a better understanding of both Israeli and Palestinian points of view.
I could go on and on... If you get to go, enjoy for me, ok?

We spent a week in Jerusalem, mostly in the Old City. The Museum is fantastic -- not to be missed -- including the Dead Sea Scrolls. Most moving experience was Friday night shabbat at Kol HaNeshama synagogue. Don't miss it!
Masada and Bet She'an -- also a must-see!

Israel is a beautiful country, diving in the red sea, floating in the dead sea.the desert, the historic locations, it's just a pity that it is full of Israelis (nothing against the Jewish faith,) it's just that the people there are so arrogant against foreigners, it really is unbelievable,

I want to ask the first three "intellectuals": Why would you hang out at the "occupied land" Travel section?
To fuel your hatred, maybe? You don't see any Jews hanging out in the Arab section, screaming hateful messages, do you?
Do us a favor, and join the rest of your herd, and don't come here.
P.S. You have to be a moron, and not muslim, to not recognize Israel.
Oh, and, arabian fugly princess, do everyone a favor, and stop lying.
