i want to know if girls like the guys to chase after them or if girls want to chase other guys?

I prefer being chased. I have more important things to do than chase guys myself, and it's a nice boost to the ego when a guy tries to any extent to win you over. Not that I'd say yes 99% of the time, of course. But it feels pretty good.

Honestly, it depends on the guy. No girl wants a guy they're not interested in chasing them. But sometimes even us girls enjoy "the thrill of the hunt".
