An infection needs anti biotics. You could try and ask your pharmacist if there's any over the counter stuff available, but you really need to see your doctor. You don't want to be ill for Christmas, do you? hope it gets better soon.

You can use warm oil(a drop or two at a time) or take Tylenol to ease the pain but the only cure for an ear infection is antibiotics and that requires a prescriotion from the doctor.

there is only one way to stop your ear infection. See your doctor or clinic for antibiotics, take all of them as prescribed,( Very Important) Can't stress that enough!!! You need to go like now to see either one or the other ,because your eardrum may rupture for relief...

When I was little, my mom used to put a drop or two of warm sweet oil in my ear with a cotton ball to hold it in place when I had an ear ache. Always made it better.

At the vitamin store, buy garlic-mullein drops to put in the ear. It gives immediate relief and, in my experience, it has worked better than antibiotics.
