It's my body and my body
Is nobody's business but my own
Listen to me people
'Cause I wanna let it be known
It's my body and my body's
Nobody's business but my own
I know what I'm doing
So why don't you leave me alone
It's my body and my body's
Nobody's business but my own
I'm a grown up woman
And I know who I am
So if you got a problem
Well I don't give a damn
Ain't no doubt about it
'Cause baby it's written in stone
It's my body and my body's
Nobody's business but my own
I've had it up to here
With all you holier-than-thous
Who want to save me from the devils wicked den
Quit shoutin' in my ear
With All your curses and your vows
I only wish I never had to hear
Your voices again
Don't quote me no commandments
Don't preach me no jive
There's only one commandment
Thou shall survive
You don't even know me
So why don't you leave me alone
It's my body and my body's
Nobody's business but my own
Maybe you don't like it
But baby it's written in stone
It's my body
Not your bodyAnd my body
Is my business
My business
Is my business
And nobody's business
But my own

Well, can't refute that fact.
We're a long way from slavery where one man had power over another, using bodies any way they pleased, it was the soul no one could own back then. But these days, meh. I think my body is my own, but why do I slave it out to everyone else's needs and whims? I draw the line somewhere and please myself, but there was a time when (if I were a slave) I could not even marry if my master so wished it. I would not sleep if my master wished it, and if my master wished it, I would be put to death. All that was needed was a mistake on my part, and my body and soul were disassembled

Prostitutes do indeed have a right to use their body as they choose. Her only responsibility would be to keep 'clean' and safe, both for herself and for her customers. That's been so for centuries. It is, after all, the world's oldest profession.
As long as it is indeed HER body, and not that of an innocent child.

In this country prostitution is mostly about feeding a drug problem.I can sympathize when prostitution is used to feed families in third world countries.I myself don't think its the right thing to do morally but in other countries it's called survival. You do what you have to do,it's your body and your business.

There are far too many people that want to chose someone else's life path. The lyrics are straight foward and quite to the point aren't they?

I think as a Christian that our bodies belong to the Lord.
