Any idea how to wrap something circular?

i have an xmas gift that is circular. any websites that can help? or any advise would be really helpful thanks :D

Put it in a box and then wrap it.It will be so much easier.

You did write circular, not round like a ball. If you mean something like a round chocolate tin, your best bet is to cut two circles much wider than the object you have, put the box or object in the centre then cut little snips at intervals all round the draw round the base. Fold up, secure with sticky tape, turn object upside down and repeat operation the other way round. Then cut a band of paper to cover the side all the way round. Add one of those pre-folded flower like decorations in shiny ribbon to coordinate with your wrapping paper on top or use a wide ribbon all round the side with a large bow. Hope that helps. If you meant round like a football, a box is the best solution.

How large is your gift, you could find a box a bit bigger & put it inside , or cut long strips of cardboared paper 3 or 4 put under the gift , bring them all to the top staple them together to make a sort of mold around the gift then wrap it up, bit like an easter egg. then tie a nice ribbon on the top, Merry Christmas

With great difficulty my friend . I just spent 45 minutes wrapping a football for my nephew . Will know not to buy anything circular in future .

I wrapped somethings that are cylindrical earlier today. One was small and I wrapped it loosely with tissue paper to cover both ends, then I cut a strip of wrapping paper as wide as the item is tall and wrapped it around. It looks alright.

I'll link to a photo to the first one I did, the bigger one looked nicer and had a bow, but its not with me atm. Consider this one the prototype.. lol

u could either:
1) wrap it up like peeling an orange (in layers)
2) put the gift on the paper and pull the paper upwards then tie with a bow (like a sack)
3) put it in a gift bag
4) put the gift in a box then wrap

think putting it in a box is the best idea or just take lots of paper and wrap like a chocolate orange with folds running round the object. Or take it back and buy something square!
