My parents said they would get me a skateboard for christmas, but they want me to look for it online and then they'll pay since they have no idea about this sort of stuff... but I don't know that much either! About the skateboard I want to choose at least...

Someone said I should get nothing bigger then 7.5, but I am 12 and I am a size 5!!! Wouldn't that mean the board would be 2 inches bigger then my feet or what? Where can I get a good board that is attractive, is good quality and is a suitable size for me? I was browsing www.ccs.com and I LOVE the almost brand, again they only have 7.5 +

I buy from ccs and the almost brand is a good brand to start out with 7.5-7.75 anything in that range would be good easier for you to ballance on and better to learn with, you don't need anything too fany, I'd get a basic setup or get on prebuild with the trucks and hardware cause you havn't got a "style" yet so you don't need or even know what you want for trucks or wheels. good luck have fun don't be scared to fall down ;-P

You might want to go to a 7.75 this way you can grow into it and i would recommend the Resign 7 that almost is putting out it is so much lighter. and for trucks go with destructos and for bearings go for bones reds.
