I have been oppressed a long time and all my efforts have not worked. I haven't been able to even get a crappy job and I have no family or support. And praying hasn't worked. Maybe I was praying to the wrong God? I just want to get uncursed.

Ok I've done everything in my power to help myself and how can I "work harder" if no one will even hire me?

That's why I applied to even crappy jobs I wouldn't normally take if I wasn't in this situation just to try to get my foot in the door somewhere. I've become exhausted from trying so hard with no results for all my efforts.

I'm surprised I'm answering this because I usually try to answer questions that are actually worth while, but here goes...
First- of course you are not cursed. You had a run of bad "luck" to wake you up to reality and to hopefully turn you to God. Curses, if made with faith, did happen in the Old Testament, but Jesus ended curses with his life, death, and resurrection. You are NOT cursed.
Second- you have doubts about if you're praying to the right God, and yet you expect your prayers to be answered? If only speaking logically, that doesn't make sense. And speaking spiritually, faith is needed for answered prayers. This doesn't mean that all decent prayers will be answered. God works everything out in time.
Third- to the person who advised you pray to Ventura or whatever it was, give me a break. Come one, that's just stupid and ridiculous. Is that some kind of "Harry Potter" type god? I sure hope not... Anyway... just trust God and do the next thing. If you're life doesn't improve, look forward to Heaven. Nothing is better.

I guess if you believe you are cursed, then there will be that curse that is bigger than you and more powerful....otherwise, you can press the reality button in your life, and decide that you REALLY do have control, and that you are able to make changes, and live by them.

Pray as if all depends on God, but help yourself as if all depends on you.

Added on: Okay, I hear your despair. But I have actually had people tell me that I am cursed because of ALL my "bad luck". Since I never appreciated being told I was cursed, which by the way made me feel MORE desperate, I thought that maybe you might feel some hope if you knew you are in control.
Things never changed for me all at once. The details are boring, but all I can say is that change comes painfully, and it seems unfair. It took almost two decades to get the changes I, my husband and children need, and even now things "could be better".

sorry I don't know what to say, I used to feel cursed also, but it only works if you allow it. By the power of God, no-one can curse you. belive that as only God is all powerful (there's only one God, but different paths, religions). So don't worry about that.
As regards to not being able to find a job, I can recommend using affirmations to change yourself, this is book is from a highly resoected & well known author & she has helped millions with her wonderful books: (see link)
Choose one or 2 of the affirmations & repeat them regularly (it doesn't matter if you don't believe them at first) for a month. I swear you'll notice a difference.
Her other books are also good, especially You Can Heal Your Life.
Also, check out this book also (2nd link).

lots of luv
merry christmas

First, have you accepted Christ as your Savior? That is a prerequisite for God answering your prayers. If you have and you are still having difficulties, start blessing others. When you sow a seed of blessing into someone else's life, it opens the doors of heaven for God to bless you. Blessing others can come in many forms. Give a meal to a hungry person, volunteer at a homeless shelter, visit lonely people at a convelesant hospital, give up the "good parking place" in a crowed shopping center or any other random act of kindness you can think of. Being kind to others when you feel miserable is like a sacrifice of praise to God.

That brings me to part two. Start praising God for everything thing He has done in your life. Even though things are not going very well right now, you still can find things to be thankful for. Thank Him for His Son and for Salvation. Thank Him for the computer you are using that you can find helpful answeres on YA. Thank Him that you are able to look for a job and you're not disabled. Anything you can think of, thank Him for it.

Part three is to read your Bible daily. As you read your Bible, it will encourage you and strengthen your faith.

May God Bless and keep you safe in His Arms of Love!

Identifying the Only True God
ALMOST as long as humans have existed, they have had many gods. There have been so many that it is difficult to put an accurate figure on the number of gods and goddesses worshiped throughout the earth—but it runs into the millions.

Having established that there is a God, we now ask, Which of all the gods worshiped throughout the earth, now and in the past, is the true God? That there is only one true God who can be identified as such is clearly stated in the Bible at John 17:3: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."

An Identifying Name
It would be reasonable that any god who has personality would need a personal name to distinguish him from other gods with names of their own. It would preferably be a name designated by the god himself, rather than a name coined by his worshipers.

In this regard, however, a very puzzling fact emerges. While most well-established religions ascribe personal names to their gods, Jews and mainstream churches of Christendom have failed to identify by a distinctive personal name the god that they worship. Instead, they resort to such titles as Lord, God, Almighty, and Father.

Open the windows, light some insence, clear your mind and say boldly : "I am no longer cursed. From now on my life will be blessed"

All you have to do is undo the negative energy that you or others put on you. And you have to believe it.
