Only if absolutely necessary. The draft is not something that should be abused people are already losing faith in their government and a draft for few reasons would not help public morale. If this crisis in the middle east would to evolve into world war 3 then yes a draft would be needed. And in what was does depleted uranium have to do with draft you idiot.

The draft should never even be a thought. Its uneeded, especially considering the glut of personnel causing the military to downsize again. Add the fact that the reason that our military is as good as it is because of the type of people that volunteer for it, and the high standards that it requires upon entrance, and you have your answer. Why compromise a system that actually works just fine by tampering with it? Haven't we learned our lesson from the last time the draft was instituted?

I am not going to agree with this until the DU shells are removed.. If the military draft is reinstated some people aren't military type, most people can't follow orders because they are the one who likes giving orders.. You can't make people follow orders.. That goes against everything the Constitution stands for..
When safety hazards such as radiation from DU shells are gone, then the draft could work.. I mean a lot of people get drafted, develop long term problems, and can't finish their dream.. So yeah, let's remove the shells and if the war is huge and must be won like WWII then go for it.
