Brown the meat in a skillet with a small amount of vegetable oil and season as desired with salt, pepper, garlic,or onion. After the meat is throughly browned, pour a mixed packet of McCormicks mushroom gravy(1 pkg with 1 cup of cold water and stir well) into the skillet and allow to simmer until meat is tender. Stir occasionally. Serve over wide egg noodles.

Beef tips
Skillet hot enough to be right on the edge of smoking
If you've got some spare trimmings of fat, put them in first to brown up and provide some grease. Then remove them before putting in the beef.
Don't crowd them or they'll just sit there and stew.
Cook them hot and fast, just this side of not burning them up, open the windows if you need to so you don't set off your fire alarms.
Use a warm dish in a low oven to hold the cooked pieces while you cook more.
Try one, if it's not cooked enough for you, leave them in the oven at 275F to 325F for a bit.

the way i make them is to start out with sirloin steak , not sirloin tip,cut into bite size pieces. Ask the butcher, they are different cuts of meat.
i happen to like onions, so i use a packet of Lipton's onion soup mix. Mix it with the meat(dry)
heat your skillet on med-high with 2 Tbsp of oil, and stir-fry the meat for about 7 minutes, or desired doneness.
It's really good served over buttered wide egg noodles.
Just what i like
