so let's say i have an out of body experiece, why can't I just pull someone out of their body and switch places with them? And if i did do this, then where is the memory stored? in the brain or the soul?

If the memory is of the soul, why do we need our brains?

the idea of brainless minds just doesn't make sense.

I don't believe we have a soul that is separate from our bodies. Belief in a soul is just another way for humans to deny inevitable death. All our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, behaviors etc are just brain wiring. Once the brain dies, all our thought processes are gone and so are we. Humans have always had a hard time accepting this since we are hardwired to live and not want to die. Hence we create god and religion and souls and such so that we can believe (or at least hope) we will live forever (in heaven or whatever). That is why religion is so powerful for so many. Nice fantasy, but not reality.

I think that you and many of those answering may be confusing mind with brain. Your brain is an amazing organ it controls our muscles, respiration, pulmonary function and a host of other lesser known functions, but it does not think.

Thought is a function of mind that exists independent of anything physical. What appears to be the brain thinking in brain function imaging and other brain measuring attempts is only blood flow being measured to the part of the brain that acts as an interface between the mind and the body. This is the secondary function of the brain after regulating bodily functions. It acts as the interface, or the mind body connection.

Without it there would be no way for the nonphysical mind to exert any control over the physical body.
It is interesting that science has done its best to overlook this fact for so long. The silly idea that thought is some magical function of some mysterious electrochemical reaction is so vague as to be hilarious. There are several ways to disprove this theory beyond any shadow of a doubt.

Being nonphysical in source your mind is in no way effected by the death of the body and loss of the mind body interface, or brain.

Love and blessings.

Have you ever heard of astral projection?

There are many people who say astral projection is possible, and that the Native Amercians would practice it. It takes a lot of time and meditation to actually do it.

I don't know if it's real or not, but they say it's dangerous because another soul can take you're body if you're not in it. But no, they can't just take you out of your body.

I think it's a pretty interesting theory. You should check it out!

It isn't allowed.. Man does not have the power by himself to do the things you are asking he must have spiritual help to get out of his body and he does not have the power to enter the body of another. Only demon spirits can enter another body and the soul of the other person does not leave.

Your memory is in your soul body. You have a spiritual body that is inside of your physical body. Your memory would be in your spiritual body. If you check on out of body experiences many have heard and seen their bodies from outside of them and when they are revived they remember the experience..

Even though we may not know it, this universe has rules that must be followed and God is in control..

If the soul was separated from the body, we would be dead (of course, it happens every minute with killings and murder). The memory would be in the spirit.

You would have a fight on your hands with the other soul to 'possess' or take over the other body.
