we started dating in august, he went to jail in november...we write letters and stuff still but idk if i should or not...

Sounds like it would be a nice gesture to me - though might be wroth calling the prison first and asking what sort of things he would be allowe to receive in there. It would be a shame to send him something only to have it confiscated.
Depending on the jail (and country!), you might be allowed quite a variety of things as gifts. Some places are much stricter however.

If he is in jail, they probably won't let him have a gift. Get him one and save it for when he gets out again. Then write a letter telling him you got him something and that will give him something nice to think about.

IN all honesty you'd have to check with the jail and or who ever is in charge, depending on where he is he may not be allowed to have stuff.

Ohh this is so sweet. A boyfriend who is a convict. Maybe a box of really cute stationery with stamps so you can keep writing to the loser. What a wonderful life you will have with him when he gets out. I`ll bet mom and dad are so proud of you.

First of all you shouldn't date a guy in jail. If you can't resist, yes get him somethin for x-mas or he might come out and 'abuse' you.

my husband used to be a correctional officer-- if you decide to get a gift (I don't think you should, it's not like he's getting one for you); check out-- a lot of jails don't let in gifts....

Get him a toothbrush with a sturdy handle so he can carve a shank out of it. Or get him some pornography and cigarettes. Or sign up for conjugal visits.

Do you care about him??? Why not show someone some joy??? He obviously could use a bright spot in his life now. Don't buy one if you just feel sorry for him---do you see any future with him??
