she was a vergin before she had Jesus the bible sayds Joseph did not have relations with her till after Jesus was born. but it is ludicruse to think after Jesus birth he looked after them and never made love to his wife so after Jesus was born she would have had other children from Joseph its only coman sence you are only a vergin untill the first time a man makes love to you.

duh!
Mary was a virgin until after Jesus was born, then she had sons and daughters by Joseph. As a protestant, I do believe that.
Two of the writers of the NT were Jesus' half brothers, James and Jude were half-brothers of Jesus.
We don't have any information about the daughter other than she existed, but no bio on her.
What protestants don't believe is Mary being born a virgin birth. We are told that the church teaches that Mary was also born of the Spirit. They say that is why Mary was without sin, therefore good enough to be the mother of Jesus. We do not believe that.
No scriptural support for that.
If Mary were without sin, she could have been the sacrificial lamb years earlier.

Mary was a virgin whe she had Jesus. As to what happened after that there is not enough light in the Bible for us to know. Mary and Joseph were husband and wife so there would be no sin in them having marital relations and having other children.
We tend to see sexual relations as dirty and its dificult for some to associate the virgin Mary with sex. We should remember though that God invented sex and blessed the union of man and woman.
Some have a theory which is valid, that Joseph had a previous wife that passed away and then married Mary. And that these brothers mentioned in the Bible are older brothers of Jesus.

Luke 1
In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
29Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
34"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"

According to the original Hebrew text the word "virgin" does not refer to her physical body, but rather her marital status. One must remember that the Bible,as we know it, was written some 400 yrs. after Jesus walked the earth. So any words or deeds connected to him or his lifetime were stories handed down orally. I know Christians today do not want to hear this but it is fact.

I think 1 and 2 are correct. It is possible in animals so maybe not the exact same thing in this case but there is a way. 3 is false no matter what because she was was a virgin when she was born. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061220/sc_nm/britain_dragons_dc

Theologian Karen Armstrong has spent a lifetime studying religion and she says in her book that the whole virgin birth thing is a mistranslation. The word "virgin" probably should have been translated as "young woman".
