it means she is having stomach troubles. It might be the food you're feeding her or the amount. You might try calling your vet to see if they can answer this over the phone. Dogs need to be fed 2x a day to prevent stomach acid from building up and making them sick. If she's eating treats that might also be causing her problems - rawhide doesn't sit well with a lot of dogs. Her food could also just need to be changed. My dog was fine for years on her food but suddenly started having reactions to it. My vet said that sometimes the things in food that are good for a dog start to cause problems - like the dog develops and allergy to the ingredients. We changed her food and she was fine after that.

The most common cause of this is worms. Worms move from the stomach to the throat when the dog is infested with them. If the dog has had a flea problem, this is more than likely the problems. Your dog needs to be tested for what kind of worms it has and be treated quickly. This can cause much more serious problems if not taken care of quickly. Heart worm can kill your dog, but most likely it is round, pin or hook worms.

She is probably coughing up fluid from her lungs and then swallowing it back down. How long has she been doing this? Is she kind of bloated? Is she old? If she has been doing it for a while then it could be serious. The bloating would be from lungs full of fluid. Heart worm tends to contribute to this kind of problem. You should take her to the vet and possibly get some meds.

She sounds like she's having certain heart problems, or something went down the wrong pipe. then there's the option of a hairball. you should probably ask a local verteranarian. There's no way you can tell her "stop making that noise" lol best of luck to u. hope she feels better or fixes her throat or w/e.

I had 2 dogs that this happened to frequently(still have one). After lots of testing it turned out it was allergies. They got put on allergy meds and it almost completely stopped. Good Luck!

Sounds like she's coughing. Has she be vaccinated against kennel cought? It's likely she picked it up. Take her to a vet and get some meds.

There are far too many options for this, sometimes it can even be hairballs, it can be an actual cold, she might be congested etc.
More infomation is needed to make any kind of guess.

I'd hate to tell you this, but the same thing happened to my dog. Get your god to a doctor right away. My dog did the same thing and she had a heart problem. She died later on.

Both my dogs do this. She's just coughing, thats all. If its happening a lot, it could be allergies. If it seems to be causing your dog discomfort, take her to a vet.
