I am looking to support the thesis that passion and intimacy set men's spirits free but endanger the womens. Are they any good stories to help my case?

PS - If you can think of any example from other very well known literature, that would be of great help too.

in Gensis after the adam and eve sin 'and the man will toil the land, and the woman will pine after him.' or something to the effect that the woman stays home wanting, desiring him, while he is out busy. what about solomon? tons of wives, or David, who killed her husband to be with her.. I mean what did she want? we don't know... or what about Mary... you can't tell me she wanted to be unmarried an pregnant. She wasnt' even asked, she was told and it happened... then Joseph stayed with her because he was 'merciful'. If man slept around back then (there are many mention of prostitues), the man still gets married, but since Mary was pregnant... Joseph was amazing and mericful to have kept her... whereas a woman would have been expected to keep him...

The Song of Solomon. Yes, that's in the Bible. You may also check out The epistles of St. Paul, St. Augustine's Confessions, and (my personal favorite) Dante's Divine Comedy (Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradisio).

But honestly, your thesis sounds a little sexist. Are you implying that women are so weak and looked down upon that passion and intimacy bring different results than they do for men? You sound like a 1960's feminaxi. Maybe you should check out some of their literature for other sources. If you can't find enough sources, it could just be that YOU'RE WRONG!

initially i can't think of any to support that thesis. From the Bible and additional literature I would conclude that passion and intimacy have made both men and women slaves of desire. That gosh durnned Salome and Delilah. chicks, man.

Sex was not intended to be the way the world thinks of it today. It was meant as a beautiful act of love for a man and woman to enjoy as a married couple and a means of reproducing to populate the world. How much longer allows all the lustful sins of sex to go on is the main question. We are in the end of times but the tribulation hasn't started yet. Jesus is waiting for God to say the word and the world will see the truth.
