Absolutely, every time....the reason I do is because it is so funny. Its as if they see themselves as so righteous as to have the right to hurt or even kill others.

Of course the funniest part is they tell you in the same breath, I believe in God. The implications are so obvious that I just have to laugh. They don't understand the very thing that they profess to believe. And that's the point of course. They are required to believe...belief implies a trust in a written or spoken truth rather than a self realised self evident truth....they don't understand the very nature of their own condition and then are condescending enough to try to convince someone else...I find that hilariously funny and ultimately humiliating to themselves......Its a hoot....

On the inside, yes, I am laughing hysterically. Islam, Christianity; both had jihads and crusades. Yet for some strange reason, they still insist upon saying that they don't believe in violence.

It depends what you "term" violence. Pacifists, who don't believe in defending their nation against enemy invasions would consider having to fight for their nation's freedom as "violence". Some people consider the death penalty wrong, yet have no qualms about murdering unborn babies in the name of a woman's right to choose. It depends on your perspective.

God is the ultimate Judge.

I don't laugh because they are dangerous! Both Christian and Muslim people have evidence from their Holy Books that violence is justified. That's why the main muck with terrorists and what to do with them that rages today.
In other words, violence is okay, say to many if not the majority of Christians when they are defending their lives, property, or that of allies, or family.
It is the fighting stance that kept the Axis at bay and finished it off in Wordl War II, being willing to defend is what is said to protect freedom and liberty today.
That's my understanding and tuppence worth...

I feel saddened by it all. but it tends to be the fundies who support violence, rather than true believers. It was all the hypocrisy that turned me away from religion, and towards atheism. If peoples gods were as powerful as they claim, then why do they allow their followers to pick and choose what to believe? The fundies only use religion as an excuse for their own hatred and intolerance.

Have heard it so often that it's just not funny anymore...would rather watch a police car chase on tv than some uneducated fool talking crap cos he doesn't have anything to loose, like a job or a wife cos he's got 10 others.

Supposedly they do condemn violence. But some people only pay lip service to their religion. Or they only allow the religion to apply when they feel like it.

No, I think its sad & its just one more thing which causes non-Christians to not believe. And yes, Christians condemn violence - or its what they are taught to believe rather they do or not.

in the Conchian way of life, we see fit for an eye for an eye, if someone of any religion insults us, we have a choice to use the methods that they used to insult them back, but only if we choose to, it is not a sin.
but we are urged to pull the string of the CONCH and ask if we should or not. and 100% of the time it says "YES".

Apparently they do denounce it. With all the wars in the name of god they they have started, I'm amazed that they are even allowed to be around these days...
