Why does my 8 month old american bulldog hump my leg even though she was spayed months ago?? I am the only one she does it too.. I am the female in the house; the one that trained her and takes her on walks!!

She is telling you that SHE is the dominant one. The humping is just a way of showing that.

Something that should be curbed quickly for a good relationship. Be firm with her that that is not allowed.

When you take her on walks, does she pull alot? Its another more subtle sign that she thinks she "leads" the pack(you).

Many times, "humping" or "mounting" is a sign of trying to be dominant. Just like kids, puppies will test their "parents" too... Just stop her from doing it give her a treat for stopping. She'll learn.

she's trying to establish dominance over you. i have a female spayed dog who does that to all the male dogs on the ranch. one of them actually hides when he sees her heading in his direction. poor fella.
