I personally am not a beleiver... In fact I am an agnostic...

However, I just saw someone with a 'question' giving out seriously interesting insights into what becomming is Muslim is...

and i was absolutely shocked at the total lack of tollerance from the Christian community to this person...

Infact someone even quoted that bible passage that beleivers in false gods should be destroyed...

Maybe I'm just on a rant... but its this kind of Bullsh*t that really gets my goat with Christians largely, this hugely self righteous beleive in ones own religion and that total lack of tollerance and in most cases patronisation of people of other faiths...

Share your thoughts....

Best answer will not necessarily go to the one who agrees with me, i'm open on this and beleive it or not, the best answer will be the best answer.

Just a thought as a subnote, any one who knows anything knows that the 9/11 terrorist attacks were caused by fundamentalism, not by TRUE muslims, and also it very conviently gets sweeped under the rug all the attrocities commited in the name of a Christian God.

Islam is the biggest growing religion in the world and it is threatening the power structure . There is a concerted effort among Jewish and Christian leadership to propagate misconceptions about Islam in order to convince the masses that Islam is evil, and so, therefore are the Muslims. The Jews have been perpetrating such lies probably since before the formation of Israel an now the Christians, who find it politically convenient, have jumped on the Zionist bandwagon.

That is not to say all Jews and Christians feel this way, but the Islam=bashers certainly have louder voices

Individually, I have met some fine people, who just happened to also be christian. However, in the general sense, christianity is as a whole, an intolerant, and ignorant religion. I can speak from experience, as I used to be a christian. Part of the reason people bash it so hard, is because it is the largest religion, at least in the USA, and it is doing everything it can to grab power. This, I cannot tolerate, especially in a country that was founded on secular ideals. USA was not ever supposed to be religious. It has only been in the last 30-40 years that christians have done what they can to rewrite the constitution, and to create laws that make christianity all but a state sponsored religion. We are only maybe 5-10 years away from that becoming a reality! That scares me. It means we are taking a HUGE step back, back to the days when king George wanted to control what religion everyone warshipped. Only this king's name is Bush.

I am not religious but I am a believer. I believe in Humanity. I am more in line with Humanist point of view.

I also believe to a certain extent that all the major religions have a certain level of BS built in and a certain level of intolerance when their teachings are taken literally.

Now tell me, what religion currently has a leader or leaders that have publicly stated on a world platform that they want to destroy the people of a certain religion.

What religion has built into it's versus commanding it's brainwashed followers to try to control the world.

What religion in these modern times has killed the most people that have spoken against it's teachings.

Name all the religions during these modern times that have extremist who want to attempt to detonate a nuclear bomb to make their points?

There is way too much at stake now to be beating around the bush with people that have that ideology. Way to much at stake for political correct bulls-h-i-t.

That ideology must be reformed or destroyed.

We all know what ideology!

Ironically, I was just reading that question and your answer (in the previous question) had such a profound effect on me that I clicked on your avatar. I'm Muslim and often wonder if there are nonMuslims out there who at least respect Islam and all the hard work (although it goes unnoticed) that we have to do to make up for the losers who are defacing Islam. You seem pretty enlightened and openminded to me; *if* you were Muslim you'd be a pretty cool addition. Anywayy, I'm not really answering your "rant." I guess I just wanted to say thanks--thank you for not being ignorant. Wa alakum asalam (and peace be unto you). God bless.

Muslims do give the Christians the same hospitality. Im a Christian. I think you are basing your question off of a couple of loudmouths' answers and I understand where you are soming from. I have a couple of Muslim friends here in college. I mean, as a person, you couldnt really tell whos who. I am not intolerateof anyone's beliefs, as long as they dont become radical and reqire the killing of innocent civilians. But that is a humanity issue.

Because most people don't realize that they worship the same God whom they call Allah. The Jews also worship the same God whom they call Yahweh.

The Muslims hold the faith of Abraham who is considered to be the "father of all who believe" because he had such a strong faith. He also wrote a letter of faith to Hebrews. These people may not believe in Jesus Christ but they do believe in the same God.

Its true that in their essence Christianity and Islam are wonderful religions. But both have degenerated into oppressive cults that would like nothing better than destroy anyone who doesn't believe like they do. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson would love nothing more than stand everyone that doesn't agree with them up against a wall---just like the Ayatollah.

Because most christians are stupid (i am a catholic) They think by just showing up at church every sunday and saying the 'Are Father' twice a day they have a free key to heaven. All the catholic church asks is that we spend 1 hour with God a week. Muslims and Islams spend many hours a day praying to God. I have respect for them.

I agree, first of all if not for Jesus there'd be no Islam.

and concerning what else you said.

How many men slained? How many children enslaved? and how many women raped? In the name of God?

not really an answer... just pointing out something unknown by many bible thumpers.

I think it's lack of education and awareness about the Muslim faith. The only thing you really hear about the Muslim faith is from the media, which sensationalizes things.
