If I regift because I think that a gift for me that I have no use for or do not like is perfect for you, isn't that what counts? Or is it the money spent that counts?

It's common sence that it is the thought that counts.
I never re-gift. I think it is tackey. I I don not care for something I received, I will donate it to charity or the school Christmas shopping spree they have for the kids.
