I am making soup for chrismas and I have never had to take it somewhere else. I'm making about 10 servings or so.

A crock-pot, you can tie up the bowl with a dish towel so the lid doesn't slip in your travels and then you can just plug it back in (of course without the dishtowel) after you arrive there. ;<}

A good way to keep the soup warm, if you put it in a thermos, is to rinse the thermos with hot water first. This should keep it warm for an hour or so. Also you may want to put plastic wrap over top and then place the lid over it, to prevent spilling.

put it in a leak proof container and then you know thoese useless styrofoam coolers that collect dust in your shed well clean one of em off and stick the soup (in the containers) into the box they will stay warm until you get where you are going
