First of all be sure there isn't another reason for the acne I suspect I may have policystic ovarian disease which can cause acne along with other symptoms. You can temporarily treat the acne but you need to remove the underlying cause first. I have been using a skin care system that has helped tremendously. If I stop using it only for a day or two the acne comes right back but it helps control it well. Check it out at www.youngliving.com/MARYKING1. the company is offering a spacial until the end of December where you can receive a free acne serum with purchase of system . Check out promotional items on the order page

I assume that you are female due to your user name. I am on birth control, and have been for a while. I found that within the first few months of going on the pill my acne became a great deal better, and now I have very few breakouts. I wash my face with an anti-acne wash in the morning and before sleeping, and I think that helps too.

The key to keeping acne at bay is regular cleansing. Even if it clears up, you can't stop your routine. I have found that AcneFree works pretty well....but only if you use all three steps twice a day. You can buy it at wal-mart for pretty cheap. It's sort of a generic Proactive.

many people will tell you proactiv, but that only works if you make the decision to follow a strict cleansing routine. If you get lazy about it, you've just wasted alot of money and will be continually harassed by telemarketers trying to get you to buy more. I suggest that you see a dermatologist. There are all kinds of things that they can do these days. You may also want to look into lazer acne removal, it supposedly works for 6 mos.

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

Use cotton balls and wiping the affected areas with rubbing alcohol then wipe it off with hydrogen peroxide. Get a name brand peroxide though, the cheap ones don't work for me.

Dieting will help. Avoid fatty/sugary stuff and stress.

If you're a teener, you'll have to live with it.

There's a cure I know that worked for me (I'm a male), but I'm afraid it won't work for you.
