When they care more about looks? I see girls that are nice going out with jerks all the time, and the relationship lasts, too.

Girls are very emotional. So if a man gets into a girls emotions then he could/maybe have his way with her. That's why you see so many jerks with nice girls because their naive. But we do go for personality...don't say that we go for looks if you are not a woman and don't know. Guys are more physical and can just look at a woman's features and get turned on.

Girls are complicated critters.
They do claim to like nice guys and yet they invariably go out with jerks. From my experience - its a matter of women liking the 'dangerous' element.
For some reason they like men who are 'alpha' male types. Dominant and slightly frightening. Why? I can't really say.
Eventually they do tend to grow out of that, and try to find a 'nice' guy, but when they are younger they invariably gravitate towards the a**holes who are good looking.
Again, we ask why? and honestly I have never figured that out. Even older women tend to be attracted to or infatuated with, the dangerous and often mean guys.
I discovered reasonably early on that my psycho side attracted more women than my nice side...
It will be interesting to see how the women/girls respond to your question.

There are many many reasons,some woman are the mothering type that love to help others and like men they can help,and who are we to call them jerks.
Looks also build an ego,an empty feeling that Is filled by being with someone that others look at and that makes a woman feel good about herself.
In any case there Is someone for everyone and It Is so worth the wait

I have to agree you, it does seem that way. There are far too few who actually take the time to get to know who you are if your are ugly and don't dress right. Many girls are just like guys in that aspect. Pass judgment based looks and clothes not personality. You have to actually talk to someone with you heart to know their personality, and most of nerds, geeks and whatever you kids would call me now don't get the chance for the hotties to get to know us.
But have faith, I married one of those kinds of girls. Those girls like the ones I was talking about just take longer to mature than us geeks and freaks.

Of course i care about looks if i didnt i wouldnt have married my husband. In my book that is number one you cant really have a relationship with someone you find unattractive. If a girl says personality first she is probably lying. Looks is way important i dont care if people call me superfical. Try kissing or having sex with an ugly person see if you get anywhere with that. Personality is a big part but looks always come first.

well you may think of the guy as a jerk and she may think he is amazing. Personality makes a person. It can make an ugly person the best looking person on earth in your eyes,or it may make a very nice looking person the ugliest . It all depends on personality.

it's what a person is willing to put up with..i'm not into jerks but some women are under the impression, as it is with many males, that to have someone who looks good on your arm makes you somehow a better person..they have their value system all wrong

I used to say it because I didn't want to sound superficial.
I've matured now, but I say it because it's true. I've been out with good looking guys who are jerks and it hasn't worked.
Now I just look for personality... And if they're good looking it's just a bonus.

They are just telling themselfs a lie to make themselfs feel better. And they want everyone to beleive it(mostly themselfs). You will see it time and time again...any girl will pass over a good, nice guy for a creep. And then whine and cry that there are no good guys.

not all girls care most about looks. i don't. i like this sweet, caring, and smart guy who isn't really much of a looker. yet i can't stop liking him. my friends are always like, y the heck do u like him? he is so ugly. i tell them its his personality. anyway, u shouldn't go around thinking most girls go 4 looks.
