different cruise lines have different requirements. call your cruise line!

different countries have different entry requirements depending on your country of citizenship. go to the websites of the embassies of the countries you will be visiting during the cruise. It will tell you if a passport is required for you to enter that country based on your nationality and country of residence. You can also always inquire International Visa Service 1-800-627-1112

If you have to FLY out of the U.S. to pick up your cruise then most definitely, you will need a passport per U.S. State Department regulations starting January 23, 2007

You should have a passport. Next year you will be required to have one.

When fiancee and I went on our Caribbean cruise in Aug '06, we made sure we had one. We did not want any problems to occur with just using other means of identification outside of the US.
