A pin hole camera cannot not work, if you see what I mean.
The object you are looking at has to be very brightly lit, perhaps this is why it doesn't work for you.

Do you mean you can't get an image at all, or you can't get an image to imprint on film? If you can't get an image at all, you might have to adjust the size of the box, or the pinhole, or you might have to check that you have a good light source. Pinholes don't work in dim light.
If you aren't getting an image on film, but you can see an image at the back of the box, you have to expose it for a little longer. Pinholes won't take action pictures, just still or inanimate subjects, and they do require a much longer exposure time than traditional cameras.

get a digital camera
or back up a step or two and make some tin types
its probably the film, the position of the paper, or the chemistry
