Good. It makes me feel like I am a part of something much bigger and better than this earth. Does just believing on physical things give you a warm and fuzzy feeling. You had better do some serious research on the scientific evidence concerning other dimensions. Science has proved there are other dimensions that our five senses cannot comprehend. If it wasn't for science you would not even know about radar, radio waves, electromagnet energy, satellites, cell phones, the list goes on and one. Can you explain to me what a radio wave looks like, or a satellite signal for that matter??? Maybe some of us actually can use other senses besides just the well known basic five. I know that I can, and have. It is proved that even our thoughts give off energy. Well, you can’t “see, feel, hear, taste, or smell” them but they can be recorded by scientific measuring devices. There is power in our thoughts and don’t ever doubt it. So what if God is different than what people describe it to be (human like), but that does not mean that there is not an intelligent force that lives outside this dimension. Maybe you ought to practice tuning into it. I believe our bodies do have some capability to sense it, others have it stronger than some. Just like some have better hearing or eyesight than others. Maybe if you somehow connect to these higher dimensions or invisible forces not yet scientifically fully discovered it may do something even more “unbelievable” for you. Please do not think that just because someone believes in a higher power that they believe it is a MAN. Even simple scriptures tells us believers God is not a man

I read all of the previous answers to this question, and many of them were very well put. But, just for the fun of it, I decided I'd give you what you asked for.
First- you conceitedly referred to God as an 'invisible man.' I would just like to clarify for you the terms 'God', 'invisible', and 'man'. I'll show you how they differ:
God- the supernatural being conceived as perfect and omnipotent... the ruler of the universe.
invisible- not visible; cannot be seen
man- a male human being... the only living thing with highly developed thought processes
Now that you know the real definitions for these three words, I'll show you their differences.
First, God is 'supernatural.' Man is 'human.' God is 'perfect.' Man is 'human.' God is 'omnipotent.' Man is 'human.' God is the 'ruler of the universe.' Man is 'human.' See how that works? Not at all similar, even by politically correct definitions! As for God being invisible, look around! Watch a mother tuck her child in at night, God's there! Watch two friends laugh at lunch, God is there! Watch a teenager deny his friends and say 'no' to drugs, God is there! See, he's not invisible at all, just a little hard to see for some people sometimes. Open you dead eyes and watch love in action for once, instead of the liberal media propaganda.
Second- now that we've clarified that your analogy was obviously incorrect, let's address your actual question. You asked how it felt to believe in God. I'll tell you how it feels. Have you ever been tucked in by a mother? Or laughed at lunch with your friends? Or have you ever made the right choice, against peer pressure? Cause God is like that, except imagine without fault, without doubt, without cruelty of any kind. Imagine what it's like to jump off a 100 story building with confidence that the 'supernatural' is on the other side. Imagine that kind of faith, x1,000,000..., on and on, with Christ, the Savior of mankind, holding your trembling hand as you walk through life, with the other hand clutching with all your might the Holy Bible, God's Word. That's what it's like to believe. I don't think you'd know that though. All you have to believe in is emptiness and a warm, long sleep 6 feet under. Sounds kind of depressing, doesn't it? Yeah, I thought so.
So now that you know the difference between 'God' and 'man,' and the difference between 'belief' and 'emptiness,' try to see why Christians are Christians. Notice the word 'Christians' come from the word 'Christ.' See? Bigger things are at stake here.

I don't know, but believing in an invisible man has to be suffocating at the least. Thats almost as bad as believing that somehow we just came about from nothing, without anything happening, without anyone looking over the process.
As for me, I believe in the one true God. He is not anything like his creation, because he is not created. That is why many of us try to analyze God using our minds which are conditioned to only comprehend created things. However, we have to search in order to KNOW that there is one true God.

Dear Black Atheist,
To most people God is invisible. However the Bible assures us that when He returns, "every eye shall see Him" (Revelation 1:7). As concerning feeling, feelings do not matter in the least. We walk by faith not by sight. Incidently, "faith" is a synonym for the Lord Jesus Christ. We walk by Christ, not by sight.
From everything we read in the Bible, it appears that 2011 may be the year that Christ returns. Then you will see Him too!

If I believed in an invisible man, I'd still go to hell.
God is not man, and he is not invisible, you can see him in the natural world around you.

Ya boy first of all god is a man if you believe in christianity because Jesus repeatedly called god FATHER (Abba) and Adam was the first person on this Earth, and he was created in his image and eventually god took out his rib and made eve with it YAY

You are doing the same, you believe by punishing and bringing fear upon others is some type of religion, you get comfort out of this, you need to believe in something more worthy
