Today I was at a home for church and there was this cat. It didnt look stray but I am not for sure. It scratched me pretty good and i put some peroxide on it, some neosporin and then put a band aid on it. Should I be okay?

Infection is your main risk with this. Warning signs alerting you to infection could include:

Wound taking a long time to heal
Wound hot to the touch
Pus oozing out of the wound
Feeling hot/feverish or sweaty
Red lines going from the scratches up to glands in the neck, armpit or groin

etc. etc.

If you are in any doubt go and see a doctor, another major risk you have is tetanus. If you have not had a tetanus immunisation within the last 10 years I would recommend seeing a doctor for one...and you might aswell get your wounds checked out while your there!

Yup, you should. If you get flu-like symptoms and go to the DR, tell him about the cat. There is a illness called "cat scratch fever" (as well as a song in the 60s of the same name), but you prob. will be just fine.

Good luck

well you might, if your not allergic to the cat. if you find out if the cat was stray, you might need to go to the doctor and check out the scratches, but if it wasn't then you'll be fine with the scratch after you put the medicine on it

Did the cat look sickly?
If your not allergic to cats in general then yes, you will be just fine. No worries

Most likely you will be. But if you've heard of rabies in your area, get to the hospital for preventative treatment. I'm assuming you don't actually know this cat.

Good luck!

you should be abolutely fine as long as you keep the wound clean and dry. if it starts to get red/swollen/itchy get it checked out but i dont think its anything to worry about
