My kitten (who's now 4) goes nuts over a toy I got him when he was a little baby. It's a feather on a string and the string is attached to a long flexible (that's key here) stick. It's for you to play interactively with your kittie. They go bananas! I have to hide it when it's not in use or it will get broken. Oh, the feathers have a bell on them to get him more wound up. You can also buy replacement feathers when it gets ratty.
Have a great Christmas with your kitten. Just be careful with ribbon and strings with him - you don't want him to swallow any!

My cats love their organic catnip. They are also fond of the little fur covered mice. Chris's favorite toy is a Q-tip (?). A real inexpensive thing that your kitten would love is to go to the craft section of your local Wal-Mart, get some chenille stems and pom-pom balls (1"-1 1/2" is best) then roll them in loose catnip! Easy to refresh as well. But I think the thing your kitten is going to like the best is a box that gets emptied when a gift is removed. Throw in a catnip pom-pom or curled chenille stem (aka pipe cleaner)! Have fun!

Well if you kitten already has a nice bed that he/she enjoys sleeping in then thats great. Ummm...Maybe get him some fun toys, treats, a cute Christmas sweater...LOL!! Anything fun for your cat. Maybe wrap it up if your cat will enjoy tearing up the paper then he will have fun w/ the paper and the gift...or...just put it into a stocking. We got our cat from a friend of mine and he used to be indoor/outdoor but i dont want to take him outside without a leash.I have a dog too so we use a spare stocking to put the pets gifts in, we got my doy a new brush b/c he loves being brushed. And my cat a leash so we can take him out side sometimes for him to get fresh air, excersize, and for his enjoyment. Hope your Christmas goes well...MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

One of my favorites is a laser pointer. Cats love chasing it around the house, jumping for it on walls, etc. As a vet, I love that you can give your cat some great exercise, too, and they love it.
Just be sure they follow the dot - if they look at you, not the dot, the laser injures their retinas.
One last thing, NEVER STRING / YARN. The classic picture of a cat playing with yarn is misleading - it's very dangerous if they eat it (I can't tell you how many surgeries are done at vet clinics for string foreign bodies.) Be careful of Christmas ribbon that you're wrapping the presents in, too.

My kitties love fake mice, balls with bells in them or little rods that have feathers hanging. I only had one kitty who liked catnip and I've had a ton. So maybe stick to toys. Basically anything they can throw around.

Petco has a lot of things for cats. They should have cat toys. You can get one for your cat, but be sure it's appropriate for your cat's age. You wouldn't want an old, lazy cat to get a toy that's for energetic cats, now would you?

Your kitten won't understand the fuss, but I think catnip is the way to go. They love it. Plus you get to see your pet get really stoned.

Oh... That's really cute! You should get him/her cat teasers, balls, and jingle bells. Put all of them in a cute little stocking! :) Merry Christmas!
